
L’Associazione Italiana per lo Studio degli Elementi in Traccia negli Organismi Viventi è una associazione scientifica non profit fondata nel 1991 da un gruppo di ricercatori, appartenenti a discipline diverse, attivi in campi di ricerca connessi con lo studio degli elementi in traccia.
Gli iscritti all’A.I.S.E.T.O.V. sono automaticamente membri della FESTEM (Federation of European Societies on Trace Elements and Minerals) una società scientifica europea nata per iniziativa e con la partecipazione dell’A.I.S.E.T.O.V., della GMS (Gesellschaft für Mineralstoffe und Spurenelemente), della SFERETE (Société Francophone d’Etude et de Recherche sur les Eléments Trace Essentiels), della SEQCET (Comisìon de elementos traza de la Sociedad Espanola de Bioquimica Clinica y Patologia Molecular) e della RUSTEM (Russian Society of Trace Elements in Medicine)
